 Guarantees

Text processing for translation purposes is a complex process and mistakes can occur. We do our best to ensure no such occurrences and will provide the following process guarantees.

Proofreading

Proofreading ensures the technical accuracy of writing. We will proofread the text to ensure that it is free from technical errors and omissions.

Editing           

Editing ensures that the writing complies with the generally accepted standards of good writing in the target language. We will edit the text to ensure that it uses the appropriate style as we have interpreted it or as the client has stated.

Translation       

Our translation guarantee subsumes the proofreading and editing guarantees and ensures that the text is carried to a foreign environment in a way acceptable to the target readers from the point of view of the language and cultural conventions.

Under the guarantees we define errors and omissions to be any of the following:

·   grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation errors

·   mistranslation of original meaning and omission of parts of text.

 Errors and omissions do not include client preferences for word choice, formatting or other, unless the client clearly identifies those preferences before the project.

When translating we follow a number of grammar and style guides to address the target reader in the intended market. If you wish us to apply a specific guide, please advise us before the project.

The output of the translation process depends on the quality of the inputs. If it appears to us that the original content is compromised in any area we will inform the client and do our best to ensure that the final document is of a high quality. However, our guarantee must be limited only to our input into the process rather than the outcome of all the various contributions.

After submitting the final version of our work, we will accept any claims or complaints when supported by expert opinion issued by a native speaker of the target language with appropriate qualifications such as MA in translation or similar and at least 5 years practical experience.

Should there be problems, we will correct any error we make at no further charge.
